Updated Board of Health rules effective Dec. 15, 2025
 

On Oct. 15, 2025 the Board of Health adopted new rules to align 5 CCR 1006-2, Medical Use of Marijuana, with statutory changes. The final rules are effective Dec. 15, 2025 and will be available on the Secretary of State’s website closer to the effective date.  

Summary of the changes  

House Bill 25-1296 recently passed, and now, pursuant to CRS 25-1.5-106 (16)(a), we can accept copies of federal tax returns received from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) from applicants who are requesting a fee waiver. 

If you are requesting a fee waiver. you can now submit: 

  • A copy of a certified Colorado tax return for the current tax year, or
  • A copy of a federal tax return received from the IRS.
