Updates from the Colorado Medical Marijuana Registry
Upcoming rulemakings
House Bill 25-1296 was passed by the Colorado Legislature, and signed by Governor Polis in May.
Now, pursuant to CRS 25-1.5-106 (16)(a), we can accept copies of federal tax returns received from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) from applicants who are requesting a fee waiver.
To request a fee waiver, applicants may now submit:
A copy of a certified Colorado tax return for the current tax year, or
A copy of a federal tax return received from the IRS.
We will be updating our rules, 5 CCR 1006-2 Medical Use of Marijuana, to align with these changes, and we want your feedback. Please share any feedback by July 20.
On Aug. 20 we will go before the Board of Health to request a rulemaking hearing. If the hearing is granted, it will be on Oct. 15.
