Updates from the Colorado Medical Marijuana Registry

We want to share some important updates from the Colorado Medical Marijuana Registry.

Changes to our online registration system

The Medical Marijuana Registry System will be getting a new look in January 2024. This will not change how the system works.

After the change, you will notice that:

• The system has an overall more modern look. 
• The colors will be blue, white, and gray instead of red, white, and gray.
• The “Home,” and “Tracking Inbox” buttons will be on the left side of the screen instead of across the top.
• Tabs, such as the “patient registration” and “provider certification” tabs will not have outlines.

Do I need to take action?

No. Even though it may look different, you can continue using your account the same way you have been. If you need help call or email our customer support.

Why are you making these changes?

We are upgrading the system to a newer version of the platform. This helps make sure that we have the latest features and security. The upgrade also includes fixes to improve digital accessibility. 

Board of Health Rule Review

Every few years the department is required to review its rules to ensure that they are efficient, effective and essential. Between now and the end of the year we will be reviewing 5 CCR 1006-2 Medical use of Marijuana to determine if there should be changes. 

Stakeholders are invited to share feedback if they think parts of the rule should be updated. If you want to give feedback on potential changes, use this form to give feedback by Dec. 26.

Holiday hours and office closures

Our office will be closed and customer support will be unavailable on the following days: 

• Dec. 25 Christmas Day
• Jan. 1 New Year’s Day
• Jan. 15 Martin Luther King Jr. Day 
• Feb. 19 President’s Day 

There are other times when our office is closed or our customer support services and hours are modified. Information about any closures or modified customer support schedules will be posted on our website.
