Harvest Grows, LLC – Product did not meet test sample requirements
Class II Product Recall: A class II recall indicates there is a remote probability of experiencing adverse health consequences from consuming the product.
ISSUE: The Division of Cannabis Control (DCC or Division) is issuing a product recall for certain cannabis produced by Harvest Grows, LLC, license CCC000043-00. The Division discovered that the affected product, which is plant material for vaporization, was not sampled in accordance with Division requirements for minimum sample size for testing. The sample size collected for testing on this batch was less than the 0.5% required by Division rules. The Division’s rules are aimed at ensuring all products distributed to customers are tested for safety.
The Division has placed a hold on all affected products so that no additional non-compliant products are distributed to or sold at dispensaries.
A product recall was determined to be the most appropriate course of action, as public health and safety is a top priority for the Division. No adverse events have been reported. Anyone who experiences adverse health effects after consuming the affected product should contact their health care provider immediately and report the event to the DCC at 1-833-464-6627. DCC will provide any updates as necessary.
