Join us in celebrating diversity and inclusion this Pride Month. Ahead of Pride, we asked our LGBTQI+ employees what we are doing right and what we can do better.

 

Get to know Char, Tay, Freddie, and Garrison as they share their personal journeys, experiences in the cannabis industry, and their favorite products and strains.

Char (she/her/they/them) is a production technician who came to the cannabis industry looking for a progressive workplace where people could embrace their individuality.

 

“The industry brings in open-minded people,” Char says, “and we should encourage folks to learn about the broader world of LGBTQI+.”

Tay (she/her/they/them) is a patient care specialist at RISE who joined our team this year after finding relief in medical cannabis and is committed to educating others about its benefits.

Freddie (he/him) is a supervisor at RISE Mundelein, who has been in the cannabis industry since 2016 and believes in the power of cannabis to bring people from different backgrounds together.

Garrison (he/him/his) is the Visual Merchandiser at GTI, who uses his retail experience and creative skills to create inviting spaces within our dispensaries and make every customer feel comfortable exploring the world of cannabis.
